Emotional Resilience: Building Your Mindfulness Toolkit

Uncover your path to a creative leadership mindset and upgrade your mindfulness toolkit in this 2.5-hour emotional resilience workshop.
Leadership Development experts Jessica Amortegui (Head of Learning & Development at Logitech) and Natalie Brain (Founder of Lead Modern, and yes––that’s her real last name) will share their work to guide you on a journey to unpack the internal narratives that color the way you look at and interact in the world.
Anchored in research from their work in Positive Psychology at University of Pennsylvania, inspired by Karen Horney, the Power of Ted, Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey (Immunity to Change), Susan David, Robert Fritz, and years as Leadership Development practitioners from Fortune 500 companies, Jessica and Natalie will guide us through understanding the habits we rely on to keep ourselves safe, and will show us how we can chose to let go of these beliefs through creating a compelling vision to change our patterns of reaction. Research correlates a creative mindset with leadership effectiveness (Anderson,Adams & Adams, 2015), so we’ll be orienting our exercises toward creative growth and emotional agility.
We’ll dig into some of the deep-seated beliefs that get us stuck and that can limit our ability to change and grow. We’ll be doing some serious inner work, through a fun and light approach that helps identify tendencies which may cause us to react from a place of fear and self-protection or trigger our anxieties.

Meet Our Facilitators:
Jessica teaches leadership to top executives and emerging leaders around the world. She is a prominent figure in Leadership Development, currently running Logitech’s programs, and previously at VMware and Nike. She brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work, operating at various intersections – that of a strategy consultant, organizational development practitioner, culture shaper, and thought leader in the field of leadership and management development.
Jessica has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, The Wall Street Journal, the Huffington Post, Chief Learning Officer, and Fulfillment Daily. In 2015, she was awarded the Positive Business Award for her groundbreaking work to cultivate more meaningful and connected workplaces.
Jessica received a Master’s Degree in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree from Cornell University, and an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. She lives in San Ramon, California with her husband and two boys who share her unbridled zest and over-active curiosity.
Natalie is a leadership development and team building facilitator to leading organizations around the world. She co-delivers the flagship people manager training at one of Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For 2017”. She was a full-time Lecturer on the science of wellbeing, motivation and peak performance at the University of Melbourne in Australia. She has lived on six continents and has more than a decade of management experience across sales and marketing, operations, finance and strategy.
She has an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MAPP (master’s degree in applied positive psychology) from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in Economics & Business from UCLA. She is also a CPA.
